I chose "The Knight's Tale" because this tale touched the hearts of the people who read this. Theseus, the king of Athens, was an honorable leader to his people in his prior land. he did everything for them. Theseus found Palamon and Arcite wounded. Theseus decided to put them in jail. Palamon and Arcite were cousins and they fell in love with the same woman, Emelye. Palamon was my favorite character among the others because he has shown the traits of being a great hero for his love. He came back to Athens to look for Emelye and to fight for love. Even though King Theseus reprimanded him to come back to Athens but because he love Emelye he did. He fought with his cousin and even he lost the goddes of beauty, Venus, granted his wish. Arcite died due to the earthquake that Venus commanded. After they mourned to Arcite's death, Palamon and Emelye lived happily ever after.
